What is happening to our forest?

Our forest is having to be cut down as the trees are too big and are now a hazard. Some trees are leaning and therefore could easily break.
Room one has an idea though ...

We will keep you updated

what a big job that seems to be. I wonder what will happen to all those logs that have been cut down? What will we do for shade when they are cut down?

  2. Dear my class:

I like the video that we posted about the forest getting cut down.
I think that is very dumb that they are cutting down the forest because we loved playing in it.
I would really like to know more about what you think about the forest getting cut down like:
I think that is outrageous that...

  3. Dear Hunter,
I absolutely agree it does seem a very sad day to see the pine forest being destroyed,it has given so many children so much pleasure. Lots of fun and games to be played in the forest!! I think I understand why it must go though,if it is dangerous for the kids to be around the trees because they have grown so big then that's just the way it has to be. I am sure it will be re-planted with fast growing trees soon.
